Allbirds first came to GLW when they had just opened their first two stores. The perimeter wall system that their previous fixture company had created wasn’t working well for them–the spacing gaps were inconsistent and it was extremely cumbersome and time-consuming to install and reconfigure the panels.
The expert engineers at GLW created a completely new wall system that maintained consistent spacing and was simple to maneuver. The installation process for the wall system, which originally required four carpenters and five days, was reduced to three carpenters and three days for an average store. At one location, the store staff was able to completely reconfigure the perimeter wall panel system in four hours without hiring a professional carpenter.
Along with the perimeter wall system, GLW engineered and produced complex fitting room doors with a unique wave structure.
We manufactured 10 store packages that we warehoused and shipped throughout the United States and Europe. Each service desk was a completely unique design that leveraged local materials and the specific store’s aesthetic. We provided onsite installation support, including working with European shopfitters to support European store installation.
With this project, we were able to reduce Allbirds’s fixture costs year over year and provide them with eye-catching, versatile fixture solutions that met their needs. We are proud to have built a strong working relationship with the Allbirds team.
